I offer 2 8-week empirically-validated mindfulness programs, and you can find more about them by hovering your cursor over the "Classes..." sidebar and clicking on them. And given the current demands of living in the time of a pandemic, I am grateful that I started teaching online years ago while working at the UMASS Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, & Society.
While these classes were previously offered at $475, with a sliding scale, with the pandemic and all the misery and economic uncertainty it has caused, I am again offering them on a "pay what you can basis", no questions asked.
As a certified teacher of both MBSR & MBCT, I adhere closely to the curriculums developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn (MBSR) and Zindel Segal, Mark Williams, and John Teasdale. As a licensed clinical psychologist trained in the scientist-practitioner model of psychology, I understand the value of honoring the theoretical framework that has been validated through clinical trials. And I also bring my own deep practice of meditation and mindfulness, as well as my absolute commitment to being my authentic self as a teacher and allowing my lively personality and passion for joyful connection to also be in the room.
Postponed until post-pandemic: Mindfulness in Relationships for graduates of either MBSR or MBCT. This occasional offering will weave four elements of Buddhist psychology, the Brahma Viharas (loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity) with elements of Insight Dialogue, an interpersonal mindfulness framework, to support participants cultivate wisdom and compassion with self and self-in-relationship with others.
